What Monocurator collects
Monocurator has no reader accounts, newsletter, comments, or contact forms. We use limited site measurement and may use advertising as described below. Recently viewed Film IDs and Momo Cinema game progress are stored locally on your device.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process basic request data such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults. We do not use that information to build reader profiles.
Monocurator also sends a small set of interaction events to a same-site measurement endpoint. These events can include the page type, Film ID, destination type, platform, registered campaign, medium and content identifiers, the landing path without its query string, referring domain, event time, and a random session-only identifier. The identifier is stored in session storage and is replaced in a new browser session. This event dataset does not store raw IP addresses, names, email addresses, payment details, or Ask Momo's free-text questions. It is used only for aggregate daily counts and is retained for up to three months by the current analytics store.
Local browser data
The home page can show up to four recently viewed Films. Monocurator stores only the Film ID and the time it was viewed in your browser's local storage, keeps no more than six entries, and removes entries older than 90 days. Reading the shelf does not send that stored history to Monocurator; a click on one of its Film links may be counted as described in Site measurement above. You can remove the local history with the Clear control beside the shelf.
Momo Cinema also stores game progress in local storage. Local data stays on your device and can be removed by clearing this site's stored data in your browser.
Web fonts
Display type is loaded from Fontshare. When your browser requests that font, Fontshare may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser type, and the referring page. See Fontshare's privacy policy.
Site analytics
Monocurator uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page views and site performance. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and says its Web Analytics beacon does not collect or use visitors' personal data. Monocurator does not send Ask Momo questions, payment details, or contact information through this measurement.
Advertising
Monocurator may use Google AdSense on selected editorial pages. When AdSense advertising is active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or device identifiers to serve, personalise, and measure ads. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services in its partner-sites policy. You can review or change ad personalisation in Google's ad settings.
Advertising storage, ad personalisation, ad user data, and analytics storage start in a denied state. Monocurator uses Google's certified consent management message where consent is required. Visitors covered by that message can accept, reject, or manage the available choices. Google may serve limited ads without consent-dependent storage or personalisation when its policies and the consent signal permit it.
When the Google consent controls are available, the footer shows Privacy and cookie settings. That control reopens the message so a visitor can review or change an earlier choice.
When advertising is enabled, Monocurator may record limited placement events such as a request, fill or no-fill result, and whether the placement was displayed. Paid-ad clicks, impressions, and earnings are reported by Google; Monocurator does not intercept clicks inside an advertisement.
Links to other sites
Outbound links to retailers or streaming services are governed by those sites' own privacy policies once you leave Monocurator.
Optional support
If you choose to support Monocurator, you leave this site and provide payment or contact information directly through Ko-fi and its connected Stripe payment flow. Monocurator does not ask for or collect your full card or bank details on this site.
Ko-fi and Stripe process the information they request or generate under their own privacy terms. Monocurator may receive the transaction and supporter records those services make available to the creator account for payment administration, accounting, disputes, and support or refund questions.
