どんな作品か
Pabst translates Brecht and Weill’s stage world into mobile crowds, layered sets, and early sound cinema whose songs interrupt rather than decorate corruption. The film’s two language versions also make adaptation part of its history.
無理なく楽しむために
Listen for the songs as arguments about money and respectability. The plot is a deliberately crooked machine, so the social alliances matter more than treating Mackie as a conventional romantic hero.

The tunes are so inviting that I catch myself humming inside a world built from betrayal. That friction is the hook: the city sells corruption with a melody everyone already knows.
